Colonial Heights - Violet Bank Museum

We really lucked out on visiting this location. The museum was supposed to close at 5:00. It worked out in our favor that it was national night out.

The Violet Bank Museum:
  • Is famous for the cucumber tree that is in the front lawn.
  • It is also famous because it was Robert E. Lee's headquarter in 1864.
  • It was built in 1815.
  • Inside the museum are artifacts from the period of 1815-1873.
