While in Petersburg we took some time and visited the Siege Museum. Ms. Edwards wasn't allowed to take pictures in the museum.
The focus of the museum was to tell the story of the citizens of Petersburg during the ten month siege of their town during the Civil War. The siege occurred between June 1864 and April 1865.
To help us understand about their experience was a documentary hosted by Joseph Cotton.
The museum had many interesting artifacts and displays showing the struggles of the citizens of the town.
